Designer's notes
Here I will dive a bit deeper into the concepts behind the few locations of Hobo's Settlement Villagers™ Expansion for Kingdom Death: Monster that will open once sufficient amount of pre-orders are placed.

First Early Bird pre-orders achieved new content for everyone!
Thanks to all early birds, BOTH versions will have a new location page, Barber Surgeon. The Expanded Edition will include even more extra locations. You can read about them below the first one.

Barber Surgeon
A barber surgeon is a type of doctor who runs a rough clinic where they can study the human body in a more hands-on way, using both fresh and, umm, not-so-fresh, bodies.
There you can also get your hair fixed up after a concussion! It’s pretty handy. Sometimes they can try to heal some injuries. Plus, they might be able to trim away any parts you’re not happy with, if you ever decide that’s the case. It’s a pretty nice service, really.
Should you own the Expanded Edition, this location may have some cross-dependencies with the Morgue in the future, we'll see...

Poet of Death
Just as music and songs resonate with those living in darkness, poetry plays a similar role. Poems of the People of the Lantern are dark, and tells grim stories about destinies of past villagers. However, somehow, all this darkness also fosters hope and courage.
Poems can offer encouragement before a hunt or simply be written for a special person you’d love to connect with. Ones who read their poems to those they are interested to, are found to be quite attractive persons with their beautiful way of place their feelings in their words.
With help of the poet of the settlement, you can also share your own experiences and hunting stories from the past with the young ones. Everyone loves well told, exciting poems!

Retired Savior
The one who has seen it all and decided to leave it behind. Retired savior dedicates their last years for a quiet and peaceful life.
Around the outskirts of the settlement they collect and study new herbs, mix them up, and experiment with new potions. If brave (or insane) enough, they can even collaborate with the (evenly insane) botanist or mycologist to achieve those most experimental, unstable new consumables.
— Yes, they may taste a bit funny, but that's the least to worry about.
Experimental Psychology
During their extraordinary and violent life retired saviors have seen the grim world full of horrors and what it have done to those hunters' minds. With enough time, experiments and dedication, they might be skilled enough to touch one's mind. Their disorders. Their soul.
But there lies always risks within. It shouldn't be done by unweighted reasons. Be careful. Sometimes a slightly broken is better than totally f'd up.

All of these will go through several prototype phases and may see some facelifting or idea-swaps, but I'm quite confident that these kind of concepts would add something new and intriguing details to the game.
